Hi! I’m 18 years old and trying to become financially independent from my parents, due to them threatening to suddenly take away all financial support, my car, etc.
I have a few thousand saved up from working during high school and college, but I am worried that they will attempt to claim that money as their own since it is still under their bank account (USAA), only labeled as my account.
How should I start this process? Is there anything I should be aware of in this situation?
