When I was in College, I was extremely frugal. I made zero unnecessary purchases and always went out of my way to spend as little as possible. ~5 year out of College I was making a lot of money, and generally didn't need to think twice about spending. But now I make a lot less money, and I'm struggling to have that same sense of frugality. Pickup a bottle of soda for $1.50 in the checkout line? Sure. Buy that video rental? Sure. Get that $30 thing on Amazon on a whim? Sure. Spend 2x more on organic chicken? Sure.
I know this probably sounds stupid, but I could use some advice from anyone that has had to "regain" their sense of frugalness. These purchases all add up, but I don't seem to have that innate fear of spending I used to. I want it back.
