I bought an extraction fan not knowing it was not ready to plug&go.I have since got a power cable from another website. Are most or all power cables made equal? Could the power supply fry the fan if it is not of a correct type?As far as my knowledge goes there is a positive, negative, and earth/ground wire (could be wrong on this..) but there are only two spots to clamp the wires in.There is no indication on the clamping clip of which side is positive/negative, does it not matter?Where do I put the earth wire? Is it necessary? If not, what are the dangers? Also, how do I know which wires from the power supply are positive/negative/earth? One wire is yellow striped with green so I assume this is earth?Pics of fan and power supply wireshttps://imgur.com/a/x4COLWYhttps://imgur.com/a/4xJWW07EDIT:This is a video from the website on how to connect the power supply cable but the cable is the video only has 2 wires and I have 3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJqvh7yQm6E via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2Wrptby
