We live in the southwest and don't get much rain, but when we do it can be really bad. Our house has a converted garage and apparently when they originally did it, they did a shoddy job and there is absolutely no waterproofing when it rains. We are going to eventually replace the wall and get it done right, but in the meantime we need a stop-gap to keep the water out when it rains like crazy. We'd like to simply use some sealant or something to add a barrier so the water can't get in but i'm not sure what would be best.I'm attaching some photos that shows how bad the front yard can get. These photos are from when we got about 3" of rain in a couple of hours. This isn't too common, but when it happens we end up with about an inch of water in our house which is obviously not good.Photo 1Photo 2We're also doing some stuff to mitigate the amount of water that stands in the front yard but we'd still like to add something for extreme situations like this to keep the water out of the house itself.Any suggestions on products we could look at?Thanks in advance! via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2WtHl1w
