So I lost a debit card at a bar so I immediately cancelled it and asked for a replacement. When it arrived the envelope was completely untampered with. I opened it up and called the number on the sticker on the front of the card and was greeted with a voice asking if I or anyone in my house hold was over 60 "press 1 for yes or pound for no" I pressed no not paying it any attention as I am not that old. Next, it asked if I wanted to sign up for roadside assistance. I thought it was weird that Wells Fargo would offer that service but this was the number from the front of the card and was tempted but again I pressed no. Next it offered a free $100 gift card at this point the alarm bells rang and I double checked to see that I dialed the number accurately which I did so immediately hung up, dialed customer service and asked about the number. Wells Fargo has no record of that number nor offering promotions of that nature
