So I finally got fed up and told them they're offering the same internet I wanted for $60 but for new customers only. I told them I'd cancel and then sign up as a new customer and they told me I'd have to wait 90 days before any service. I just found out that's a lie, and if anything you'd have to wait 30 days, sometimes you don't have to wait at all.
Anyways, I cancelled everything with Cox. All I need internet for is to stream Netflix and Hulu (Netflix is 15 a month and my Hulu is free). I didn't think it would work this well, but I'm now using my phone's hotspot to watch Netflix on my TV. Its buffering at a quick enough speed that I don't notice the difference. I might just stick with using my mobile hotspot for internet!
