In the past, when I’ve done drywall repairs and painted over the repair, I’ve usually not been successful in getting the same texture as the existing painted wall.I’m thinking it’s because the nap on the rollers I’ve used are to thin for such a smooth surface since it’s primed/sanded drywall. Or is it just need to do more coats since the first few suck into the drywall?Does what I’m describing make sense and if so, how can I avoid seeing the obvious “smooth” texture of a repaired drywall piece where the rest of the wall has some texture (not knockdown, just painted drywall). via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/30EyvAF
