I make a $40,000 a year, I make $2,216 a month after taxes and insurance is taken out. My girlfriend is hourly and makes roughly $650 a paycheck, so about $1300 a month. Zillow rent calculator says we can afford up to $1400/month but after factoring in internet, groceries, gas, etc etc we are looking more towards $1100 max, maybe $1200. I don't think $1400 would be impossible but I don't want to be living paycheck to paycheck just to pay rent. What y'all think?
