Hey as stated above i'm starting some shelving in my new house. THe shelves will be apx 104 inches across (length of the wall, and i will be using 2x4s for all the parts except top and bottom. I'm hoping to alternate the boards so that i can screw the wall mount into the studs with 3inch wood screws.I'm doing somehting similar to this design, but on the bottom i may add drawers if i can: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDQIMHGkAyE&t=1112sMy questions are as follows:How deep could i safely go into the studs and how many screws should i use 2/3/4?Should i put the braces inside the shelf on the studs or alternate them from the studsHow deep can i go with something like this weight wise? I plan on putting up Action figures /models/ and BOOKS up there if i canAre 3 inch screews enough for the wall or should i go deeper? Should i use pilot holes?there is an electrical outlet on the wall what kind of lights could i use? Thanks for any help i can get.... via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2GIucel
