Alright so I found the stud with a magnet, and it's in a decent enough spot for me to put the rack on.To find the stud, I ran a magnet along the wall, and when it stuck I assumed the whole vertical section of the wall has a stud behind it. Putting this here just to make sure I have the right assumption. Now, The two screws that came with the rack are two inches long, and the rack is rated for a 20kg/40lbs load; the bike is about 14kg/28lbs.Because I'm going in the stud directly, I didn't use any anchors; just the two inch long screw that was provided with the rack. I have been told this is not the most durable way of doing it, but we're probably moving out in a year or less so it only has to hold until then. What worries me is that when I try and put some load with my hand pushing down on the rack as it is now (only the top screw in), I can see the drywall pane flex a bit. It worries me because I though the stud was taking all the load through the screw. Did I mess something up and the drywall will fall off after a while or am I good to go for the bottom screw?Bonus question: are the studs always metal, or can they be wood too? Thanks!Pictures: http://ift.tt/2qt9Sa7 via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2qxRfAh
