Tldr; Deciding on a bifl on a 2in1 washer-dryer for mounting under the counter (LG leading by reputation), vs a single compact washer (Miele for exquisite reputation + I already air dry most things)

‐---------------

Condo living has its perks, one of its hurdles is the washing.

Without any reasonable way to run a vent, ventless 2in1 units are a main focus, but for greater reliability I am open to washer without it's paired sibling "the dryer".

LG (by site reviews) appears to always win the 2in1 votes, because it washes great and the drying feature doesnt set anything on fire as often as the rest.

I usually hang dry everything anyways to minimize wrinkles, so a strait washer has it's appeal for stuffing under a 25" depth counter in the bathroom.

Miele winning out by reputation for stand alone units, and the teaser consideration for a ventless dryer, which sounds like it have better reliability than the ever at best 2in1 option. Sadly, I only have space for one 24x24x24" box.

Tackling the draining issues is grey. (In Vivtoria, BC, Canada) The strata says "as long as you have a spare drain" or such, but provincial code doesn't look like it agrees? As long as the washer has somewhere that can hold all the water it's trying to dump at once and drain it at a slower rate thereafter, I understand that it would likewise be quite alright.
