I see alot of portable USB power banks/chargers on Amazon and eBay claiming ridiculous things like 500,000 mAh capacity that is no bigger than a lipstick and for only $10. Obviously those are bullshit.

The problem I am seeing is that the vast majority of these power banks are generic and brandless, so it just feels like you are taking a shot in the dark when it comes to buying these things.

Is there any general rule of thumb like "You are unlikely to have a legit battery with a capacity larger than 10,000 mAh, and for no less than $50" or something like that?
