I currently am on hourly pay at $19.41/hr. I get paid bi-weekly. My job is sort of skilled manual labor. Last year I made $70k after overtime. I worked A LOT of overtime. Too many Saturdays. I have an interview within the company for an office job that will pay me $38,328 salary starting out. The top out pay for the office job that I am referring to is about $65,000 and you top out in 4 years and they do cost of living raises per year. It would be a 9-5 and my fiancee is moving in soon so coming off of rotating shifts will give me more time with her. I also feel like straight day-shift will help my overall health and mood towards life. I also see this job as a way to advance and gain some real skills and certifications. I know I can cover my bills with this salary, it'll be tight, but I can manage. I am also 21 years old. I guess what I'm going to ask with the given information is if you guys think this would be a smart financial move. I'm really just looking to read input/criticism.
