I just had new vinyl "wood" flooring installed by a contractor hired through a chain flooring store. We opted for glue down style vs snap together floating style. We had the old flooring removed by them and part of the demolition was to remove "quarter round or baseboard" and contractors only removed quarter round. We asked them to remove the baseboard as well, and contractor essentially said he "didn't want to do that" as he was afraid of marring the drywall.Well, the flooring is now installed and there are numerous issues. The contractor trashed the baseboard that he refused to remove. Our floor registers will not fit now. Numerous "boards" have popped up and are standing proud of the rest of the floor. We have a meeting set up with the flooring store in a few days...subpar communication has also been an issue, no final walkthrough, etc.My questions to all you knowledgeable folks is...what do you think we should be requesting to fix the issues? With the boards popping up after less than a week, I don't think it is out of line to ask for the entire floor to be redone because who knows how many boards will do the same in the future.
