For context, I own a house and drive a 14 year old, paid off car...so the question is more because I’m curious about the logic and the math.
I regularly see posts where people want to buy a house because they don’t want to “throw money away” on an apartment. Obviously everyone chimes in and explains that it isn’t throwing money away because a need is being met. So, why is it that leasing a car is so frowned upon when it meets the same need as owning a car. I feel like there are a lot of similarities, so I’m curious if there’s some real math I’m not considering that makes leasing a car different than leasing an apartment.
