Like the title says, I got a check in the mail that looks kind of like a check but says it's not one. It says it's a direct deposit summary to an account that i have never heard of. It says BNY Mellon, the pension company (at least I think it is) and my old employer at the top.
I have tried to contact BNY Mellon and have had no luck this far. I guess I'm going to try to contact HR from my ex-employer.
Does anyone have any advice? Is this a scam? My old employer had a pension plan but I can't imagine them giving me money. Any help would be very much appreciated.
