A common theme on this sub seems to be living without a car which sounds great if it wasn't for the fact that subways, buses and stations are horrible environments. Having a car and moving deep into the countryside will be my only way to escape the stress, traffic, noise, hordes of strangers, lack of freedom, crime, filth etc. that comes with living in an urban area.
Maybe I'm just highly sensitive to these things but I can't be the only one. I'm fine psychologically but it's not nice to constantly dislike the environment you're forced to be in.
