My workplace serves food on the weekdays but I don’t always stay for dinner. On weekend and in the evenings, I will often just grab a sandwich from the McDonalds near my house — paying $2-4 for McChicken or a McChicken and McDouble. As far as I can tell, this is the cheapest option around.
I live in San Francisco, so eating anywhere else would set me back at least 3x ($10-15) for a less notorious meal, like a salad or a burrito.
I wanted to get your thoughts on whether this is a Decent Frugal Move or just outright dumb due to the cost of the health problems that could stem from this kind of diet.
