Thank you.I am in the process of refinishing my family room, I've added some recessed lighting and want to hide my A/V cables while I don't have any drywall. The room is 18' long and 13' wide. Right down the middle of the room, I have a beam that measures 9.5"x4.5" right in the center spanning the width of the room. I want to know if I can drill a hole 1" in diameter to run an hdmi cable through it? I would drill in the center of the beam about 32" from the end of the beam.
