I have had two interviews in the last three weeks. Both made offers, but job one was slower. I accepted job two, but then job one called so I passed on job two and took job one. Job two called a bit ago and offered a sign on bonus equal to 9% of my yearly salary and increase in pay. The pay is slightly less than job one.
I would rather take job one, though both are unknowns. I’ve already accepted job one and begun clearances, but have not met with HR for onboarding. Is it acceptable to let the job 1 know about the counteroffer, or is it too late? I will likely take job 1, regardless of their answer and don’t want to throw a wrench into the process.
