Hey y'all, so my background is I'm 21 working construction. I pulled in 66k this yesr(2018) and I'm trying to move back home and find a house to live in preferably with land. I want to move home to be closer to my family and friends plus travelling for work is fucking exhausting. I've got a job lined up that will pay around 800 a week and my girlfriend teaches which doesn't pay too much. My bills right now run around 1200 a month or so. I could feasibly put down around 40k with 10 or so left over. But I dont really have a lot of credit. My gf on the other hand has perfect credit but little moeny. I guess I'm wanting to know what y'all would think an affordable mortgage would be. Is there a better time of year to buy than other times? I'm just afraid of getting into something I can't afford down the road.
