Any programs out there that are not a scam that can help with debt consolidation especially in student loans. I'm 36 and unfortunately about 10 years ago I fell for the whole everyone HAS to get a degree to be anybody. I tried college for 2 years before I realized it was a scam. I was told just do steps 1,2, and 3 and you will get into the nursing program with no problem! Well guess what it was a load of bullcrap. They didn't tell you how few spots were open and the very large amount of people applying. I could not just wait around to get accepted with no income. I already had two young children at the time and there was also no way I could juggle work kids and school. I know there are individuals that can pull this type of work load off but I am not one of them. I hate the money and time I wasn't on college courses. I also hate that I cannot afford to pay them back. I feel like I was pushed into this. I Also blame myself for thinking I could pull it all off. Not everyone is meant for college. Long story short my credit is a dumpster fire and I feel like that there is no way out.
