I have found that although I cut the cord on cable for years, I was still paying for Prime Video ("free" as in it was paid for with my membership), Netflix, and Hulu. I thought I was paying for variety at about $25 a month. But I found after tracking my time for a week or two, I was only watching about 4 hours of content a week! So, I decided that I will just watch Prime + Hulu OR Netflix. And I will rotate memberships between Netflix and Hulu every few months so I can binge shows in order and get the best of both offerings...
Is there any negative to this? Are there start up or quit fees I am not aware of that will be incurred by this strategy? Or is it just the time spent cancelling and re-enrolling?
Outside of illegal streaming, does anyone have a tried and true frugal approach to get the most interesting content and save money? We do occasionally get DVDs from the library, but I am awfully lazy to be using discs any more.
