Hi guys, so outside my house I used to have a light attached to the roof/fascia. That light had 3 wires connected to it, coming from what I assume is the attic. I was trying to remove that light and replace it with something else, so I cut off the wires from the light to remove the light and so I now had 3 free wires to work with coming from the attic. I quickly realized that I should stop because I am not familiar with electrical stuff and I realized I should probably call a professional. As a result, I now have 3 free wires coming from somewhere inside my home (I assume the attic) to outside my home. I covered those wires with electrical tape and put wire nuts on them, so that it currently looks like this:This is a picture of the area: https://ift.tt/2EoMHG3 is a close up of the area: https://ift.tt/2A8IuCG tucked those wires up under that area so they are not hanging free like that (but who knows if they'd still get wet if it rained). I'm now concerned that this is an electrical or fire hazard. I'm especially concerned about what would happen if it rained. Should I call an electrician to help me out, or should I simply try to go in the attic and pull those wires back inside the attic. Again, I'm not even 100% sure if they're actually coming from the attic or not. Please advise me on what I've done (lol), and what you think I should do.Thank you for reading. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2SdsZ3i
