I'm a 26 year old female in my third year of college but am doing my best to make up for lost time and prepare for my future.

I took a few business classes in my first two years of school, and I'm having a hard time understanding the fine print (and large print!) of saving for retirement. (Portfolio? What???) My professors seemed to express that a Roth IRA is the lowest-risk retirement option out there. I'm finally ready to set one up (I think)!

Is there a guide for dummies looking to start Roth IRAs out there? Do you have any advice? Where do I even go to get started? An investment company? Online? Can I start a Roth IRA with a relatively small amount of money, say $300? What should I regularly contribute to this fund and how often? How do I view/manage the account once I get it up and running?

Any advice regarding this subject is really appreciated. Thank you.
