I had an old bathroom fan, it's motor seized up. When removing the motor/fan and it's frame, which seats it, I noticed they had a ground wire connecting the frame to one of the motors screws/bolt. The new unit I purchased is a Broan C350BN nutone, which has no apparent ground from the frame to the motor. Is a ground necessary in this situation?
