There is 3 of us looking to split a house. One makes 4K (call him Jim) a month roughly the other 2k (call him Dave) and the other like $500 (call him Jeff) . The Jim wants the master and a garage space. Dave a room and garage space, and Jeff a room. All houses we have looked at have a massive master with nice bathroom and the other 2 rooms are roughly the same size and would be sharing a bathroom. Jim wants to do rent with $100 split. Ex: Jeff pays 400, Dave pays 500, and Jim pays 600 for a $1500 a month
Every calculator I have used and thoughts from friends has either been Jim paying the most and Dave and Jeff paying similar costs, with taking $50 from Jeff for garage space.
Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas on how to make this work effectively and fairly.
Note: Jeff is getting help from parents for rent and cost of living.
