Hello all! I'm embarking on a quest I've been too scared or broke to go on since I got my first laptop around 2012.I need to re-design the GameCube controller to have more buttons and plug in to my PC.This requires a lot of custom built weird bits:custom buttons (I can get most of them from an actual GC controller, but may need more)a custom housing (the current housing doesn't allow for the extra buttons, eg: the left shoulder)the rubber panels with the black pads on the bottom that make the buttons work (again, most will come from Frankenstein'd GC controllers)I know I can get microprocessors, joysticks, custom PCBs, and other electronic bits without too much hassle (though knowing which ones to get is a whole other post). The problem is that, especially with the housing- I can't just run up to my local community college and 3d-print it. The layer lines, the thin wall and thin post support on the inside, not to mention... How the hell do you support something that weird and wavy? Modeling that is already giving me nightmares. At any rate, I need very weird plastic things at low volume. Any advice on where I can pick these up?TL;DR: see above list. where get?EDIT: added weird rubber bits to list via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2IFJ65P
