Hello reddit, I am an 18 years old male living in Europe, more specifically Romania. My family consists of 5 members, my grandma, my parents, my baby sister and I. My grandma has a low income but helps with bills. My mother has a disease that doesn't allow her to do hard work, she is currently unemployed and my father lost his job. He now suffers from severe depression because all the hits he's been taking like the car breaking down, moving to work in another country and not passing the interview and stuff like that. He was a truck driver and now he is afraid he can't drive anymore. He is trying really hard to get a job but he isn't really succeeding. We have about 700 euros left from some friends that are trying to help us financially and we should be able to get by for 2 or 3 months. I presented my parents the possibility of me working part time but they strongly declined it as it would interfere with my grades. I am thinking about widening my dad's perspective and help him look after different kind of jobs that he can do until he is out of depression. He has a high school diploma. I don't really know what sub to post this to and I felt this was the most appropriate, I'm sorry if I was wrong.
