I'm interested to get some other opinions on my current budget. I think it looks okay, but I would like to get some reassurance that I'm thinking about everything clearly. Any tips/opinions are appreciated, thanks for reading!
22 years old, annual salary is 70k. Just started working in May. Have about 9K in cash in the bank. 2 credit cards, pay the balances in full each month.
monthly numbers are as follows:
monthly take home after taxes is $4064
Rent/Mortage: 1250 **little bit high I am aware**
Gas: 150
Utilities: 100
Health Insurance (medical/dental/vision): 42
Auto Insurance: 67
Groceries: 250
Internet/TV: 80
Music: 10
Eating Out/Bars: 130
Golfing: 100 **rarely use all**
Clothing: 80 **rarely use all**
Total Expenses: ~2259
401k: 860 (on track to ~80% of max)
Roth IRA: 450 (on track to max)
Total Investments: 1310
Leftover cash: 491
Certain categories such as golfing and clothing are placeholders and I often do not reach more than 50% of the budgeted amount. I have a spare bedroom in my condo that I plan to begin hosting on Airbnb sometime next month in hopes of offsetting my mortgage/rent payment.
Any red flags or areas of improvements?
