Hi there. The only space I have for a desk in my room is 39cm deep, this is plenty for a monitor and keyboard - but too small for a monitor, keyboard and paper to actually do work on. I want to make a desk that will work as a permanent 39cm deep desk on which the keyboard and monitor will always sit, but with an additional piece that hinges out from under the surface of the desk to add extra depth for when I need to write. The desk will also need to have space under it for my legs when I sit, so I can't just attach folding brackets to the front of it.How would you go about designing a desk for this purpose?
