Hi everyone, As someone born 1986 and grew up in the 90's - early 00's, I am quite nostalgic about this time period and especially about the technical aspect of that period. Everything seemed much simpler back then. I got my first phone 2001 and it could call and send text. Chatting with friends occurred but only during a short period of time in front of the computer, using MSN and stuff like that. Everything felt more calm and simple. No news 24/7. I understand that part of that feeling is because I was a child with no responsibilities but I romanticize that part of it was because we weren't connected 24/7. I often long back to this time, because of this.
Even if I theoretically could "go back" - use a dumb phone etc but I feel like it takes so much effort, since most others embrace the new times and all that comes with it. And since they embrace it, they expect everyone to embrace it too.
I don't know, I just felt like venting.. Anyone else feels like this and if so - how have you handled it? Is it feasible to live like its 1999 again..? :p
