My project is to turn my parents 30 year old home videos into a digital movie to give them for Christmas this year. I ran into a specific problem and am looking for help.I'm looking for a free, preferably easy-to-use, software to convert my vhss to either .mkv or .mp4 for the digital video. I already have all the cords I need and I've already done about 10 videos through movavi. Now movavi wants me to pay to do the rest (free 7-day trial). NCH only allows 5 minutes for free which obviously isn't enough for the home movies.Anyone know of free software to use for my project? All my googling results in 7+ year old posts, I can't seem to find new ones with updated software. Sorry if this is the wrong sub to ask this in.
