Hi all, I'm about to start on a project and I was researching on the premise that chalk paint can go directly over most surfaces and no need to prime or whatever other than clean properly. But as I'm about to start, I realize that my surface is actually an oil based paint that's glossy...that's probably the worst thing for adhesion. I'm just wondering if anyone has had experience on this, whether I ought to sand and if so, how much (just rough it up or through the paint), or I really need to just remove the paint down to the wood? I haven't been able to find much on it. Thanks. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2oop5qW
