Let's say you made a good case to your employer that you've been going above and beyond your normal duties in your role (2 positions' worth) for a while and they agree to review the position and responsibilities to see if the pay is commensurate. If they say they'll give a 5% raise (for example) but you think 10 or 15% is more fair, is there a professional way to negotiate this without sounding greedy and after already making a case once? Do most people take any raise they're given? Kind of a hypothetical situation but I'd like to know what you think. Also, let's assume this is a high-performing employee. Thank you.
