Hey fellow frugals... As the title states I'm getting a divorce and want to start my new life on the right financial footing.
My STBX wasn't the best with money and bought lots of cheap shit (think target/walmart) for our home. This lead to replacing things every few years or "updating" because she didn't like ths style/color.
I want to build my new household frugally, looking for the best value, durablility, and functionality in the items purchase.
Basically, I'm starting from scratch; except clothing, my kitchen knives, and a few nicknacks I've acquired over the last 20 years.
Right now, the only thing I'm even considering buying new for me and my daughters are beds and linen, maybe a couch, but we can sit on the floor in the meantime.
So I'm looking for suggestions/ recommendations on what other items I should acquire. Budget is around $2000,
Currently scouring Facebook marketplace and Craigslist for items, but they're so many options. Help!
