I've had really good success using AA batteries that are "dead" in my low-powered portable computer mouse. I own two portable mice and once is considerably lower powered than the other. Once certain electronics no longer work with the batteries I'm using, I pop them into my mouse and boom! The batteries give just enough juice to keep the mouse alive (sometimes up to 2 weeks!)
There's even a battery bucket at my work where people dispose of the discharged batteries, most of the time they have a quite some charge left.
Anyone have similar tips for using their batteries to complete discharge?
