We have an Airbnb and one of our guests said the wifi didnt reach the bed in the corner of a room. We also noticed that when a guest was using internet, netflix was streaming on my computer at low quality.
I was considering bumping up the package of internet, but since the wifi didnt reach the corner of a room, I decided to upgrade hardware first.
WOW!
In total, I spend probably $130 on a modem + router, somewhat expensive but made all the difference.
Now we have a guest Wifi, wifi reaches all rooms and corners, everyone can use internet without a slowdown.
Im kind of shocked at not needing to upgrade my internet service. Apparently getting a modern router + modem(mine was about 7 years old) made enough of a difference. Might be worth giving this a try and reducing your current cable plan.
