The difference between a one and two bedroom apartment in my area is only a couple hundred dollars. (Like $1500 vs. $1800) Could I rent the two bedroom apartment by myself, and then sublet one bedroom? How does that work? Mostly I just want a situation where I can be a little picky about the house rules, and where I can decorate the living room and kitchen to my taste. I make enough to carry the whole apartment in an emergency but saving money is attractive.
