I'm planing a purchase of a Dyson V6 model and am gifting it to a member of our family, who is allergic to dust, so am wondering if I should buy one with or without a HEPA filter.
As far as I know, the V8 + models all have a separate HEPA filter on the back of the unit. V6 Absolute also has one, as well as V7 Hepa, but that's about it. I tried to find information about the hepa filter quality, cause iirc usually all filters on normal vacuums require a replacement after a certain period of time, whereas Dyson ones just need to be washed. Sadly no info over the web whatsoever.
So my question is, are the HEPA filters used in dyson cordless models of good quality and well sealed? Are there any specs about the filter itself (e.g. leaking X microns of particle size)? And what about the non HEPA filter models (such as most of the V6 and V7 series) - do these leak a lot of particles in the air during regular use?
Thanks for the help in advance!
