I am currently renovating my apartment and the walls in the unit are down to the studs. I am considering ideas for recessing the TV into the wall in the living room. From my research framing it out like an interior window to create a box space for TV to recess into wall seems to be the typical approach.I have some questions/concerns: - Wall is 2 x 4 stud - will I need to increase this to 6"? I have no issue losing a few inches off room space - The wall where the TV will be going divides the master bedroom; by recessing I am going to lose out on space for insulation (sound is the concern)My goal is to hide all wires and wall mount as the will be very visible if protruding from wall.
