Hi,
About a month ago, I was in an accident and broke my jaw.
I was sent to the emergency room where I was given a CAT scan. I was diagnosed with a broken jaw and an EMS service took me to a larger hospital. At the larger hospital, I had surgery to fix the jaw and wire my jaw shut.
Little info about me and my insurance: I'm in last year of school, and I have the University insurance plan. I was hopeful my Aetna student health insurance plan would take care of most of the bills. I'm really scared of the bills I've been getting.
So far, I've been billed for:
~$1100 for the CAT scan. ~$850 for the EMS service to the larger hospital. ~$150 for the anesthetics for the surgery.
I haven't even gotten the surgical bill yet. I'm already looking at $2k in bills which understandably has me freaked out. I'm just graduating this May and don't have the money to pay these bills.
Please help me out with any advice on how I can pay this off.
