I am just looking for a place to rant and let others know about this. It cost me $46 due to fees to send him $40 via western union. I just found out from him that out of that $40 he only gets $18 and the DOC pockets the difference. I wanted to help the guy out at the commissary but he told me not to send anymore.
I can't believe what a ripoff that is and I feel terrible for those poorer families who want to help out a loved one inside. To me it's absolute thievery.
