I've been living in China for a few years and will be moving to Vietnam and then other countries after. I only really go home once every 16 months or so. Generally I use local banks such as bank of China but I have zero intention of going back to China so I'll be wiring my money to my dad so in the states I'll have a decent amount of money in cash.
What us Banks will accommodate me having an account while not residing and also where I won't be laying a few bucks a month for no reason.
