I've read some past posts about hiking boots, and am looking for advice on the following: Hiking boots, generally for summer. My son and I plan on hiking/camping around Lake Superior, so there will be a lot of rocky terrain. We will also be in the mountains of Colorado, and the woods in northern Michigan. Looking for something fairly light and waterproof. Don't care if it is leather or not, and I don't mind paying a high price for quality boots. I'm ballparking a budget of $400 total for a pair for each of us, but can go over that if I need to. I'll almost certainly be ordering online, since we live in a small town in the middle of nowhere, so if you can link a website with a good return policy, that would be great! Thanks!
