Hello folks,

I've gone through several ultra-cheap no-name backpacks throughout the years, and I finally decided on getting something more... Permanent. I want a backpack/messenger bag that can comfortably hold all the stuff I usually carry and is also within the carry on size limit for (most) airlines. I travel by plane at least twice a year, and heck, last year I traveled by plane a total of 6 times. One of those TSA-approved laptop compartments that can be laid flat is a nice bonus, but not necessary. A little side note, I live in Southeast Asia and some highly recommended brands (Chrome, Mission Industries, Tom Bihn, to name a few) are nearly impossible to find here, and when I do find one the price would have leaped straight out of my price range. I usually carry my 15.6 inch laptop, my phone, my tablet, a mouse, my headphones, and a few books. I'm hoping to find one in the price range of about $100 or less.

Some bags that caught my eyes are Timbuk2 Classic Messenger Bag Timbuk2 Commute North Face Surge North Face Recon

Those I can find for reasonable prices in my area, thankfully. There are some other well known brands I can find here like Osprey or Jansport, but I don't know which models from those 2 are right for me. If there's anything to say about the ones I chose, or some recommendations for other bags, go ahead and tell me in the comments. Thank you all in advance for stopping by and helping me choose a new bag.
