I'm sure the answer to this is common knowledge, but I can't seem to find an answer to it. I am 100% new to investing, so please play nice.
it seems common knowledge that a company's stock value dropping goes hand in hand with people selling off stock. But in order to sell a stock, doesn't someone else have to buy it? Wouldn't an uptick in people selling stock for one company be the same thing as saying there's an increase in buying?
