Hey guys im new to this page so hopefully this post reaches where it's meant to!

I was wondering if anyone here has ever backtested a leveraged etf using dollar cost averaging? I know most leveraged etfs were only introduced post GFC however I'd be interested to see how they would have performed over the past 30 to 50 years. I'm not sure how difficult this would be to backtest, i'd assume you could start with an initial amount ($), take daily price historical data from the S&P500 and multiply daily profit/loss % by 3x in order to project future value?

Would anyone be willing or able to backtest a strategy that involved investing into a leveraged ETF with an initial amount of $5,000 followed by reinvesting $5,000 each quarter over the past 30 years to determine what the overall value of your investment would be today?

Alternatively if someone could please lead me in the right direction on how I could calculate this myself (i.e. if there is an article or video on how to do this) it would be hugely appreciated!
