I haven't had SM apps on my phone in a couple of years. And I will check fb here and there on my computer but I'm no longer just skimming. I really want to get rid of it officially but I'm obviously having a hard time with that.

I'm not too worried about the loss of connections. I can reach out to those who are important to me, share phone number info, etc. That's fine.

I am more worried about the ease of needing a fb account. For instance, I'm in nursing school, and there is a community which posts somewhat important information (I could look it up on my own) but it's pretty convenient when I'm in a rush. Or if I'm signing up for things or whatever, having a fb account makes those initial steps simpler. Or when you meet someone and you don't want them to have a direct connection to a more personal item like your phone, etc.

I could push by these things quite easily, I get that. But I'm curious about those who have already done it, and what you did to get over "fomo" or that feeling of anxiety because you might "need" your fb.
