Just curiously, all the PF books and informaiton out there seems to be geared toward middle class and upper middle class people. Is there anything out there that is geared toward actually helping someone who is poor and in a broken home (no support) to become stable?

It would cover the same principals but use examples more relvant to poor people, for instance "assume you have $500 to put down on a car, a decent job, but no support if your car breaks down... Should you buy use or new?" I figure the bulk of the lessons would be about PF in the light of risk management.
